Executive Compensation at Atlanticare Health System

Atlanticare Health System is an integrated healthcare system that employs more than 6,000 in 70 locations in southeastern New Jersey. The system is made up of dozens of tax-exempt non-profits and taxable partnerships, trusts, and corporations. This post addresses the executive compensation as reported by the Atlanticare Health System, Inc. – Subordinates (AHSIS) which appears to be a group return.
There are 15 voting members (trustees) of the governing party, 8 of whom are independent although the most recent Form 990 (2019 for the year ending June 30, 2020) lists 42 trustees, 33 (79%) of whom are male and 9 (21%) are female.
In 2020, AHSIS reported total revenue of $804 million, of which $707 million was net patient revenue. Expenses totaled $728 million (not including $50 million in depreciation) with the 5 largest expenses reported to be:
