Where Does $100 to Alliance Defending Freedom Go (2022)?

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a tax-exempt, non-profit 501 (c) 3 that is described as a conservative  legal advocacy group that works to curtail rights of LGBTQ people while expanding “christian practices” in public schools and government (who serve all people), and to prevent access to a woman’s right to choose. How do they do this? Primarily through challenges in the legal system and taking on cases that further their mission and goals including the most recent case about a Colorado-based web page designer who “does not want to” (note:  she hasn’t been asked to) create wedding websites for gay couples. How Donations are Used at Toys For Tots (2022)

Toys for Tots is one of the most well known organizations whose mission is to work with the US Marine Corp to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas time.  A non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c) 3, Toys for Tots is legally known as Marine Toys for Tots Foundation but nearly everyone refers to the organization as “Toys for Tots.”

There are 12 voting members of the governing party, 11 of whom are independent. 9 of the 12 (75%) directors are male while 3 (25%) are female.

If you made a cash donation, then the funds were probably used to pay for organization expenses (i.e. compensation, office-related expenses, fees for services, etc) or to purchase toys. How do I know this? Because the Form 990 that Toys for Tots submitted to the IRS (2022) reports the following information: Read more »

The Hippocrates Health Institute (HHI) is a tax-exempt, non-profit 501 (c) (3) that operates out of a 50-acre tropical setting in West Palm Beach, Florida that provides educational and instructional services to teach individuals how to live and eat healthier.  Specifically, HHI has been operating since 1987 and focuses on “transforming and optimizing health” through a vegan diet that emphasizes the benefits of raw food.   The cause is noble and commendable; the cost to attend which pays the 2 executive staff more than $1.6 million annually, is not.

With 7 voting members – four of whom appear to be related (since only 3 are independent) – Brian Clement, President, his wife, Anna Maria Clement (Vice President) Robert Clement, Anna Helena Birgitta Brand,  Solomon Gabbay, Shula Gabbay, and Julia Loggins,   the organization is not one that relies on donations but instead “tuition for services” which is the cost to attend HHI.
