Question for your staff – Why do the staff there making such large salaries?? I was going to contribute to your cause of helping the animals until I saw what you all being paid – it’s totally outrageous!!!
Totally unacceptable with what I saw!!
It’s this way with many charities. Look for the compensation received for St. Jude’s, Shriners Hospitals, Wounded Warriors etc. Not to mention all the mega church leadership. Makes me sick. Who wants to give to these organizations just to make a bunch of fat cats rich while using unfortunate people and helpless animals front for their greed.
this is ridiculous. Why do they need all that money when it could be going to the animals instead. We need to protest. some of the high salary employees need to be paid less or let go. Need to get somebody on this one.
i stopped donating to SPCA because of what I consider exorbitant compensation and believe that the numbers do not include benefits. SPCA is always asking for 3000 donors, but it is likely to meet compensations for the management team and very little for the animals they should be caring. I would, and many others likely, do the job for much less. Thank about it. Is the compensation and benefits level supportable?
Fucking lowlife thieves! They need to be castrated!
I can’t believe the compensation package that these crooks receive in the ASPCA. This is supposed to be about rescuing animals in need not compensation to a college degreed human. I’m imagining that most of the organization is being run and the groundwork being done by volunteers. This in itself it should be a crime. Think of who is suffering the most because of this money not going where it should. I’m appalled, these people should volunteer for one year or be mandated to volunteer for at least one year on the ground boots for their crimes and be made to donate back at least one half of the salary they received from the ASPCA over there employment years. This is my humble opinion.
what in the world do these people do to deserve such salaries when poor animals are starving and in such bad physical condition?
Shame on you Gregory Copple. Do you have any sense of decency or are you just ignorant? It’s people like you who make polarizing statements without any reason except your hatred for democrats. You won’t get a forum here in the future. If you can’t be civil and make a comment that contributes to the topic, you will be blocked.
They are most likely democrats. Always wanting money for doing nothing.
Meanwhile as they laugh all the way to the bank, abused horses are pulling carriages in the traffic right outside their windows. If only Sarah McLachlan knew when she sang the “In the Arms of an Angel” song on the commercial THEY would reap the benefits and not the animals. “Lower” staff in the shelter and vet hospital are also unionized so they can do the least amount of work and get away with it (have you tried to fire a union worker?). The staff that truly care are paid minimally and are ‘used’ and ‘abused’ because higher ups know they live to save animals.
How do they live with themselves – getting rich off of donations people gave to help animals?
