25 of the most highly compensated employees of Endeavor Health, a health care provider that united 8 regional hospitals and 300 care centers across Chicago through NorthShore, Edward-Elmhurst Health, Northwest Community Healthcare, and Swedish Hospital creating the third largest healthcare system in the State of Illinois in 2022, received $200 million in compensation* from 2017-2023 (note:  highly compensated employees in any of the years 2017-2022 but not in 2023 are not included below. If they were included, both the number of employees and the amount would increase).  With more than 27,000 employees, Endeavor Health is made up of 19 tax-exempt organizations, 9 organizations taxable as partnerships, and 12 organizations taxable as corporations or trusts.
