Executive Compensation at AdventHealth (2021)

AdventHealth (formerly known as Adventist Health System until 2019 when the 501 (c) (3) “rebranded” itself) is one of the largest non-profit health care providers in the United States with nearly 51 hospitals and hundreds of care sites in 9 states. Based in Altamonte Springs, Florida, AdventHealth is a very large system with dozens of separate 501 (c) (3)’s for the hospitals, physician care, patient care, and more.

This post looks at the executive compensation at  Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corporation (AHSSHC), the tax-exempt, non profit organization that provides management, leadership, and oversight to all the subsidiaries.  It is important to note there are dozens of other related and affiliated non-profits and for profit organizations  related to AdventHealth that are not covered in this post. Executive Compensation at Pew Charitable Trusts

The Pew Charitable Trusts (PCT) was established by the Pew family as a “global public policy change agent” and was changed from a status of private foundation to tax-exempt, non-profit in 2004 which allows the organization to raise funds freely and devote up to 5% of annual expenditures to lobbying the public sector.  Although PCT is “non-partisan,” the founders were conservative.

PCT appears to be involved in two major processes:  making grants and supporting the staff who manage the organization and related organizations.

There are 10 members of the governing body, 9 of whom are independent; 7 of whom share the Pew name. Net assets were $1 billion at year-end. Read more »
