40 Employees at RWJ Barnabas Health Took Home $200 Million in Compensation

40 employees of RWJ Barnabas Health (one of the largest integrated health care providers in New Jersey with 42 tax-exempt non-profit organizations, 36 organizations taxed as partnerships, and 18 organizations taxed as a corporation or trust.  Formed in 2016 when the Saint Barnabas Health Network merged with the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network, RJW Barnabas Health with its 43,000 employees at 15 hospitals and 700 patient care locations serves about 5 million people throughout New Jersey with a concentration in the central and northern part of the state) took home $200 million in compensation between 2019-2023 (note:  highly compensated employees in any of the years 2019-2022 but not in 2023 are not included – i.e. Barry Ostrowsky who received $38 million in compensation from 2019-2022): Read more »

Executive Compensation at Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation (2019)

The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation (JHHSC), along with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is collectively referred to as Johns Hopkins Medicine – an integrated healthcare system that includes the medical school, six hospitals, four healthcare and surgery centers, and 39 outpatient healthcare sites.

Although Johns Hopkins Medicine has numerous non-profits, the focus of this post is the executive compensation at JHHSC (a non-profit 501 (c) (3)  that serves as a support organization for the healthcare system providing management, centralized purchasing, distribution, legal, claims management and other services to support the medical service providers.
