BAKED Brownies
Brooklyn, New York is the home of a bakery called BAKED that specializes in brownies and “American Classics Served Fresh” – meaning cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies, tarts, bars, and Brooksters (a combination brownie and chocolate chunk cookie). It’s the brownies though that take the cake, so to speak. Rich, dark (except for the Blondie) and intense, BAKED brownies are moist, sweet, and unforgettable.
BAKED brownies come in four flavors:
- Original Deep Dark: The classic American brownie that is slightly fudgy and totally chocolate.
- Sweet & Salty: The classic American brownie infused with caramel and fleur de sel.
- Peanut Butter: A rich chocolate brownie infused with the all American classic peanut butter.
- Brewer’s Blondie: A classic American Blondie brownie with chocolate and nuts.
About 7 years ago, Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito decided to pursue their dream and “open a great American bakery that is not a cupcake shop” and BAKED was born in Red Hook – an area described as a “charming neighborhood on the Brooklyn waterfront.”
The brownies can be purchased in a 6-pack (one flavor or the baker’s choice which contains two Original, two Sweet & Salty, one Peanut Butter, and one Blondie) for $23 or a 12-pack which contains three of each flavor for $41 plus shipping ($8.98 for a recent 6-pack order). Each brownie is individually wrapped in airtight plastic and then beautifully packaged within tissue paper in the brown BAKED box.
