Premier Japan Teriyaki

by Anne Paddock

Most cooks use teriyaki sauce to flavor food by marinading, cooking, stir-frying, or grilling with the sauce. The problem is that teriyaki sauces vary greatly which affects the flavor and nutritional value of the dish. Premier Japan makes a classic Asian teriyaki sauce that is organic, gluten-free and intensely flavorful. With no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or hydrogenated fats, Premier Japan Teriyaki Sauce tastes real, tangy and slightly sweet with just a hint of spice that comes from ginger and pepper.

premier_japan_teriyaki_sauceMade with traditionally brewed organic tamari (a savory soy sauce made with water, soybeans, and salt) to which organic evaporated cane juice, organic apple cider vinegar, organic ginger puree, organic sesame oil, salt, organic tapioca starch, xanthan gum, organic lemon juice concentrate, organic garlic, organic onion, organic black pepper, organic crushed red pepper, citric acid, and organic ginger oil are added, Premier Japan Teriyaki Sauce is not overly salty but instead a full flavored teriyaki sauce with hints of apple, lemon, ginger, and pepper.

Perfect for stir-fry, grilling, or as a marinade, Premier Japan Teriyaki Sauce makes food burst with flavor. Try stir frying a few spoonfuls with tofu, garbanzo beans, or vegetables. Top a rice or quinoa bowl with the teriyaki tofu, beans, and vegetables. Add chopped pineapple, mango, and avocado, a sprinkle of black sesame seeds and a feast awaits.

Premier Japan Teriyaki Sauce is available at grocery and health food stores nationwide (including Whole Foods) for about $6 per 8.5 ounce bottle. The sauce can also be ordered on-line directly through the company (Edward & Sons Trading Company based out of Carpinteria, California – a town just south of Santa Barbara) at www.edwardandsons.com or through www.vitacost.com.
