Bars by Big Spoon Roasters

If you’re crazy about nut butters, then you probably know all about Big Spoon Roasters – the Durham, North Carolina-based company that makes incredible handcrafted nut butters – almond, peanut, peanut pecan, peanut cashew, peanut cocoa, almond cocoa, maple cinnamon, and more. So, it seems only natural that the company would make snack bars with a base of their proprietary nut butters and house-made granola (made with gluten-free rolled oats, honey, grapeseed oil, and sea salt) along with fruits, nuts, seeds, spices, and more.
Big Spoon Roasters has introduced four (4) new handcrafted nut butter bars:
Apricot Pepita: Made with roasted peanuts, raw wildflower honey, house-made granola, gluten-free rolled oats, quinoa flakes, dried apricots, pea protein, chicory root fiber, roasted pumpkin seeds, quinoa crisps, sea salt, vanilla bean powder, and virgin coconut oil). Nut butter, granola, apricots, and pumpkin seeds make an unbeatable combination in this autumn-inspired bar.
Cherry Pecan: Made with roasted peanuts, raw wildflower honey, house made granola, gluten-free rolled oats, quinoa flakes, dried tart cherries (tart cherries, sugar, sunflower oil), pea protein, chicory root fiber, roasted pecans, quinoa crisps, stone ground Askinosie dark chocolate, sea salt, and vanilla bean powder. This is the quad combo home run: nut butter blended with granola, cherries, and dark chocolate – what could be better?
Cranberry Cashew: Made with roasted peanuts, raw wildflower honey, house made granola, gluten-free rolled oats, dried cranberries (cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil), quinoa flakes, pea protein, chicory root fiber, roasted cashews, quinoa crisps, sea salt, and vanilla bean powder. For those who love cashews and dried cranberries, this nut granola bar is simply scrumptious.
Figgy Chai (I love saying this name out loud): Made with roasted peanuts, raw wildflower honey, dried figs (figs and rice flour), house made granola, gluten-free rolled oats, quinoa flakes, pea protein, chicory root fiber, quinoa crisps, sea salt, roasted almonds, cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and vanilla bean powder. Of all four bars, this one is the most underestimated (figs don’t always excite people as much as cherries, apricots, or cranberries). It’s the spices (traditional Chai tea spices) – cardamom, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon) that make this bar my favorite.
The bars can be purchased on-line directly from Big Spoon Roasters (www.bigspoonroasters.com). Twelve bars (3 of each flavor) are $27. Buy two sets and shipping is free! Or, if a single flavor is preferred, buy 12 bars of the same flavor for $27.
Note these bars are dairy, gluten, soy, and palm oil free but they are not vegan because the sweetener used is honey.
