Brandless™ is a relatively new company launched in July, 2017 that focuses on better access to better quality (i.e. Non-GMO, organic) goods at a more competitive price.

Instead of relying on grocery stores for common household goods (i.e. beans, ketchup, mustard, maple syrup, tomato sauce, jam, dried fruits and nuts, grains, rice, peanut butter, and more), consumers can buy directly from Brandless™ – a company that sources their goods directly from suppliers.

There are no distribution costs, wholesale to retail markups, shelf stocking fees, breakage and settlement costs, and no retail marketing costs because the supplier is linked directly with Brandless™ who delivers the goods directly to the consumer, for free (orders over $39 are shipped free, otherwise shipping is a flat rate of $6).Brandless™ sells everything for $3. With more than 300 proprietary goods offered, consumers have access to high quality products (everything is Non-GMO and more than half the products are organic) at simple, fair prices. For example, a 16-ounce packet of whole grain organic, gluten-free, no sodium brown rice is $1.50 (2 for $3). Three cans of organic, low sodium, gluten-free beans (black, red kidney, or garbanzo) are $3 (but you have the option to buy a single can for $1). Consumers may be able to find a can of no-name brand beans in the grocery store for $1 but the beans won’t be Non-GMO, organic or low sodium – and, that is key. It’s not just the product but the quality of the product sold at Brandless™.

What you won’t see on Brandless™ is four different types of black beans or a dozen different kinds of brown rice because the focus is on providing the highest quality product in a category.  In many ways, Brandless™ is similar to Aldi’s (the German grocer who is rapidly expanding in the US and is known as the no-name Trader’s Joe’s) approach:  offer a single product in a category at a very fair price.
