Executive Compensation at Mercy Health (Chesterfield, MO)

by Anne Paddock

Mercy Health is one of the largest US health systems with more than 40 hospitals, 900 physician practices and outpatient facilities serviced by 45,000 employees in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.  In addition, Mercy Health has clinics, outpatient service and outreach ministry in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Mercy Health is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and the corporate member of 15 other tax-exempt organizations which in turn are the sole corporate members of over 50 other tax-exempt organizations that include hospitals, foundations, and medical group/physician clinic organizations.  Because of the complexity of Mercy Health (there are dozens of non-profits and corporations and foundations), this post is focused solely on the most highly compensated employees in the Mercy healthcare system, reported on the Form 990’s listed at the end of the post.
