Grateful Grahams

by Anne Paddock

Nearly five years ago, Rachel DesRochers started Grateful Grahams – a company that specializes in making graham crackers that are not only delicious but vegan, too. Made with wholesome ingredients and without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, Grateful Grahams come in two varieties: Original and Chocolate. Crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle, these graham crackers are unlike any other graham cracker on store shelves. One bite and you will be forever grateful that DesRochers pursued her dream to show the rest of us what a graham cracker should taste like. Heavenly, comes to mind.

Grateful GrahamsMade with nourishing ingredients like unbleached all-purpose flour, a non-hydrogenated oil blend of palm, canola and olive oils, organic agave nectar, dark brown sugar, organic rice milk, pure vanilla extract, toasted wheat germ, salt and baking soda, the Original Grateful Grahams are topped with cinnamon and turbinado sugar. The Chocolate Grahams also contain cocoa powder giving the cookie a rich, chocolate flavor.chocolate-grahams

Grateful Grahams are delicious on their own or as a s’more but they are also perfect to make a graham cracker crust. Just place the graham crackers in a food processor to make fine crumbs before adding the rest of the crust ingredients.summer-smoresTo purchase Grateful Grahams, use the company locator service on their website (gratefulgrahams.com) to find a store nearby or order on-line through the website. A 6 ounce bag of Grateful Grahams is $4 while a 12 ounce bag is $7. See the company website for more details and to read about other grateful creations.Grateful_Grahams
