Mocha Almond Fudge Bars

by Anne Paddock

Do you like creamy ice cream, thick fudgey sauce, chocolate, and almonds? If the answer is yes, you’re in for a treat. A Mocha Almond Fudge Bar by So Delicious is as good as the name sounds – rich, creamy, decadent, and so delicious. A non-dairy frozen dessert (technically, these bars are not ice cream because they are made with almond milk instead of milk from a cow), the Mocha Almond Fudge Bars taste every bit like yummy ice cream covered in chocolate and crunchy roasted almonds.

Mocha_Almond_Fudge_BarThe bars are made with 13 natural ingredients:

  • almond milk (almonds and water)
  • organic dried cane syrup
  • fudge sauce (cane sugar, water, organic cocoa, tapioca starch, natural flavor)
  • coconut oil
  • natural flavor
  • gum arabic
  • coffee
  • carob bean gum
  • baking soda
  • guar gum
  • sea salt
  • chocolate coating (cane sugar, chocolate liquor, coconut oil, cocoa butter)
  • almonds

Each bar is 2.3 ounces (52 grams) and are called “minis” because of their perfect snack size. Not too big; not too small…just perfect. Nutritionally, a Mocha Almond Fudge Mini has 150 calories, 10 grams of fat (primarily from the almonds), and 12 grams of sugar, along with 1 gram of protein, 1 gram of dietary fiber, and 30 mg of sodium. So indulge and enjoy!

The bars come four to a package and sell for about $5.49 at major grocery stores including Whole Foods Markets.
